⁠Sweet and Sour Pulled Pork served with Chinese-Style Potato Salad

Servings: 1 serving
⁠Preparation Time: 20 min

Ingredients:

⁠350g Dr. Oetker Nice 'n Easy Sweet & Sour Pulled Pork 
⁠1 large potato
⁠2 garlic cloves
⁠½ teaspoon salt
⁠30ml vegetable oil
⁠½ teaspoon Sichuan peppercorn spice
⁠2 dried red chili

Method:

  • Bring a pot of water to boil. 

  • Shred your potato and place into boiling water until the potato is cooked through, but still crisp (about 5 minutes). 

  • Drain your potato and rinse with cold water in order to remove the starch. 

  • Drain the potato once again and place onto a paper towel to dry then add to a bowl.

  • Mince your garlic and add to the potato and a light dust of salt. 

  • Heat your oil over a medium heat, and add your Sichuan peppercorn, cooking for about 1 minute. 

  • Turn off heat and remove the peppercorn from the oil. Add your dried chili into the oil and stir until the chili turns a dark red colour. 

  • Carefully pour the hot oil over the potato and stir the mixture immediately. 

  • Place your DR. OETKER NICE 'N EASY SWEET & SOUR PULLED PORK into the microwave and heat accordingly. 

  • Serve with the Chinese Potato Salad.
