1. Promoter and Competition Overview
⁠

1.1. This promotional competition (“Competition”) is run by Dr. Oetker South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Company Reg No - F0902280220012 Vat No – 4710255359 with its registered office at 21 Hans Pirow Street, Selby, Johannesburg 2001 (“the Promoter”).

1.2. By entering the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions available at:  https://www.oetker.co.za/competitions-promotions.  The Promoter’s decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding.

1.3. The Competition will run from 1 October 2026 to 30 November 2026, inclusive. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

1.4. The Competition is only valid for purchases made at Spar retailer stores. A valid till slip from Spar purchase will be required.

2. Eligibility

2.1. The Competition is open to legal residents of South Africa, Eswatini and Namibia, aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.

2.2. The following persons are excluded from entering:

• Employees, directors, agents, and consultants of the Promoter and their immediate family members.
• Any person who has won a prize valued at R5,000 or more in a competition conducted by the Promoter in the last 12 months.
  

⁠3. How to Enter

A. Purchase-Based Entry

3.1. Step 1: Buy any 2 participating Dr. Oetker products (Donuts, Mini’s, Slices, Sticks, Pizzini’s Classic Topped Pizzas, Happy Days, M4s, Familia, Nice & Easy, Green Valley, Foldover, Xtra Pizza, Pizzini’s) (“Participating Products”) during the Competition period.

3.2. Step 2: Scan the QR code on pack and follow the WhatsApp prompt. Alternatively, send  “Hello” via WhatsApp to 076 285 1866.

3.3. Step 3: Send a clear picture of your Spar till slip when prompted.

3.4. Each unique till slip may only be used once. A separate valid purchase is required for each entry.

Important Notes:

• Standard data rates apply for WhatsApp entries.
• Each till slip can only be used once.
• You can enter multiple times with separate qualifying purchases.
• The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and supporting documentation.
• Participants must enter the Competition on a mobile phone, PC, iPad or laptop that is owned and registered by that person. No person can use another person’s mobile phone, PC, iPad or laptop for Competition entry purposes. This rule has been implemented to avoid fraud and possible litigation between the mobile phone, PC, iPad or laptop owner and the Participant.
• Should the Promoter suspect any fraudulent activity the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify the Participants from the Competition. Fraudulent activity includes fake receipts, tampered QR codes, using automated systems to enter the Competition, and supplying any false information.

4. Prizes

4.1. The total prize pool is R200,000, awarded as follows:

• Total of Fourty (40) cash prizes of R5,000 each will be awarded every two (2) weeks. (Ten (10) winners every two weeks) 

4.2. Prizes will be paid via electronic funds transfer (EFT) into a verified bank account in the winner’s name.

4.3. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or refundable.

4.4. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize with another of equal value should the need arise.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

5.1. Winners will be selected via a random audited draw conducted weekly.

5.2. Winners will be notified telephonically via the number used to enter: and must respond within three business days of notification.

5.3. Winners may be required to provide:

• Valid identification: A valid South African, Namibian or Eswatini passport with at least 6 months remaining, or valid South African, Namibian or Eswatini Identity document. 
• valid proof of bank account with bank stamp at which to accept electronic transfer of the Prize
• Proof of purchase of the Participating Product or till slip used to enter into the competition
• Confirmation of personal details

5.4. The Promoter reserves the right to conduct verification checks before awarding any prize. 

5.5. If a winner fails to meet the requirements or cannot be reached after three attempts, the Promoter reserve the right to replace them with an alternative Participant.

6. Disqualification and Invalid Entries

6.1. Entries will be disqualified if:

• Submitted after the closing date.
• The entrant has not complied with these Terms and Conditions.
• The purchase receipt or code is invalid, illegible, or tampered with.
• The entry was generated by automated means or bots.
  

⁠7. Limitation of Liability

7.1. The Promoter will not be responsible for:

• Any loss or damage suffered by the entrant due to technical failures, network issues, or system errors.
• Any delay or failure to deliver the prize resulting from incorrect contact details supplied by the entrant.
  

⁠8. Indemnity
⁠

8.1. By entering, participants indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or losses arising from participation in the Competition or use of any prize.

9. Personal Data and Privacy
⁠

9.1. Personal information will be collected and processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

9.2. By entering, participants consent to the processing of their personal information for:

• Competition administration 
• Prize fulfilment 
• Marketing (where opted in) 

9.3. Personal information may be shared with authorised third-party service providers and may be processed outside of South Africa where necessary, subject to applicable data protection laws.

9.4. The Promoter will implement appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data.

9.5. Personal data will be retained for up to three (3) years for audit and legal purposes, unless otherwise required by law.

10. Marketing and Publicity 
⁠

10.1 The winner or Participants may be requested to take part in publicity for broadcast, social media or publishing purposes, which is conditional upon their agreement to take part in such publicity. Winners or Participants who take part in any publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise. All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of the Promoter.

10.2 If a Participant opts in for marketing, they agree to receive promotional communications from Dr. Oetker, including information about Dr. Oetker’s products, services and future promotions.

10.3 Participants can unsubscribe at any time by replying "STOP" to messages or using the "Unsubscribe" link where applicable.

11. Social Media and Platform Disclaimers
⁠

11.1. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. By entering, participants release these platforms from any liability arising from the Competition.

⁠12. General
⁠

12.1. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the Competition at any time, provided that such changes are not made unfairly or retroactively.

12.2. All decisions made by the Promoter regarding this Competition are final and binding.

12.3. The laws of South Africa apply to this Competition, and participants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

13.1 No compensation, replacement, or alternative entry method will be provided. Entries will only be accepted if a valid unique till slip is submitted.

13.3 By participating in the Competition, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Discovery and its related companies, and its respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Competition or receipt or use of any prize.
