1. Promoter and Competition Overview

1.1. This promotional competition (“Competition”) is run by Dr. Oetker South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Company Reg No. F0902280220012, VAT No. 4710255359, with its registered office at 21 Hans Pirow Street, Selby, Johannesburg, 2001 (“the Promoter”).

1.2. By entering the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which are available at https://www.oetker.co.za/competitions-promotions. The Promoter’s decisions in relation to the administration of the Competition will be final, subject to applicable law.

1.3. The Competition will run from 19 October 2026 to 30 November 2026, inclusive. Entries must be received by 23:59 on 30 November 2026. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

2. Eligibility

2.1. The Competition is open to legal residents of South Africa, Eswatini and Namibia who are 18 years or older at the time of entry.

2.2. The following persons are excluded from entering:

• Employees, directors, agents, and consultants of the Promoter and their immediate family members.

• Any person who has won a prize valued at R5,000 or more in a competition conducted by the Promoter in the last 12 months.

3. How to Enter

A. Purchase-Based Entry

3.1. Step 1: Purchase any two (2) Participating Products listed below during the Competition Period.

3.2. Step 2: Scan the QR code on pack and follow the WhatsApp prompts. Alternatively, send “Hello” via WhatsApp to 076 285 1866.

3.3. Step 3: When prompted, submit a clear photograph of the till slip showing the qualifying purchase.

3.4. Each qualifying till slip may be used only once and constitutes one Competition entry, regardless of whether more than two Participating Products appear on the same till slip. A separate qualifying purchase and till slip is required for each additional entry.

Important Notes:

• Standard data rates may apply to WhatsApp entries. No premium-rate charge is imposed by the Promoter for entering the Competition.
• Each qualifying till slip may only be used once.
• You may enter multiple times, provided that each entry is supported by a separate qualifying purchase and valid till slip.
• The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and participant details to prevent fraud.
• Participants must provide their own accurate personal details and may not enter on behalf of another person. Entries must be submitted using a device and contact number that the participant is authorised to use.
• The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant where it reasonably suspects fraudulent, dishonest or abusive conduct. This includes, without limitation, fake or altered receipts, tampered QR codes, automated or bulk entry systems, duplicate use of till slips, or submission of false or misleading information.

4. Prizes

4.1.  The Grand Prize is a travel voucher to the value of R100 000 (One Hundred Thousand Rand). The winner may select a travel destination, subject to the availability and terms of the travel voucher and applicable travel requirements.

• The winner and travel companions are responsible for ensuring that they hold valid travel documents and meet all applicable entry, passport and visa requirements for chosen destination and any transit countries.
• The prize excludes costs such as visa applications, travel insurance, or any personal expenses.

4.2. If the stated Grand Prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter may substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value, subject to applicable law. Any material change to the prize will be communicated to participants where required by law.

4.3. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash. The prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable travel voucher and travel supplier.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

5.1. The final Grand Prize draw for the A Meal for Every Moment: Win Your Ultimate Travel Experience Competition will take place within three weeks after the Competition closing date, using a random audited draw overseen and certified by an independent accountant, registered auditor, attorney or advocate.

5.2.  The potential winner will be contacted telephonically using the number provided when entering and must respond within three (3) business days of the first notification attempt.

5.3. Winners may be required to provide:

• Valid government-issued
  identification or passport to verify the winner’s identity and eligibility;
• Proof of purchase,
  including the valid till slip submitted for the winning entry.

5.4. Personal information collected for administering the Competition and fulfilling the prize will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection law and only to the extent reasonably necessary for those purposes and any related legal or audit requirements.

5.5. If a potential winner cannot be reached after three (3) reasonable attempts made over the three-business-day response period, or fails to provide the required verification information within the applicable period, the Promoter may disqualify that entry and select an alternative eligible winner from the remaining valid entries.

5.6. Winners may be invited to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the Competition, but participation in such publicity is voluntary and will be subject to the winner’s prior written consent.

6. Disqualification and Invalid Entries

6.1. Entries will be disqualified if:

• Submitted after the closing date.
• The entrant has not complied with these Terms and Conditions.
• The purchase receipt or code is invalid, illegible, or tampered with.
• The entry was generated by automated means or bots.

6.2. The Promoter reserves the right to audit entries and disqualify any participant suspected of misconduct or fraud

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1. The Promoter will not be responsible for:

• Any loss or damage suffered by the entrant due to technical failures, network issues, or system errors.
• Any delay or failure to deliver the prize resulting from incorrect contact details supplied by the entrant.
• Delays or failures in prize delivery due to third-party service providers

8. Personal Data and Privacy

8.1. Personal information collected from participants will be processed for purposes including:

• Administering and managing the Competition;
• Verifying entries, eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions;
• Selecting, contacting and fulfilling the prize for the winner.

8.2. Personal information may be shared with:

• Third-party service providers engaged to administer the Competition or fulfil the prize, including agencies and travel/prize suppliers; and
• Technology platforms used to administer the Competition, including WhatsApp/Meta, where applicable. Such service providers or platforms may process or store personal information outside South Africa, subject to applicable data protection requirements.

8.3. The Promoter will process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”) and other applicable data protection laws.

8.4. Personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including Competition administration, prize fulfilment, audit and legal compliance, and in accordance with the Promoter’s applicable retention policies and POPIA.

8.5. Participants may exercise applicable rights in relation to their personal information, including requesting access to or correction of their information, by contacting contact@oetker.co.za.

9. Marketing Communications

9.1. A winner or participant may be invited to take part in publicity relating to the Competition, including broadcast, social media or other publishing. Participation is voluntary and subject to the participant’s prior written consent. No participant who agrees to participate in such publicity will be entitled to payment or other remuneration unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any publicity materials will be used in accordance with the applicable consent.

9.2. If a participant separately opts in to receive marketing communications, the participant agrees to receive promotional communications from Dr. Oetker about its products, services and future promotions. Competition entry does not, by itself, constitute consent to direct marketing.

9.3. Participants may withdraw their marketing consent or unsubscribe from direct marketing at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the communication or, where supported, replying “STOP”.

10. Social Media and Platform Disclaimers

10.1. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or WhatsApp/Meta. Participants acknowledge that these platforms are not responsible for the administration of the Competition and, to the extent permitted by law, release them from claims arising solely from their involvement as third-party platforms.

11. General

11.1. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the Competition only where reasonably necessary and subject to applicable law. No material amendment will unfairly prejudice participants or retrospectively deprive a participant of an accrued right.

11.2. The Promoter may withhold or refuse to award the prize where the selected winner is found to be ineligible, has submitted fraudulent or misleading information, has not complied with these Terms and Conditions, or where awarding the prize would be unlawful.

11.3. The Promoter will not be liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, provided that this does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11.4. Subject to applicable law, the Promoter’s decisions concerning the administration of the Competition will be final and binding.

11.5. The laws of the Republic of South Africa apply to this Competition, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa, subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available to participants under applicable law.

11.6. The Promoter will retain the Competition rules and relevant records for the period required by applicable law.

12.  Disclaimer

12.1. No compensation or alternative entry method will be provided. Entries will only be accepted where the participant has completed the required entry steps and submitted a valid qualifying till slip, subject to applicable law.

12.3. To the extent permitted by law, participants release and hold harmless the Promoter and its directors, officers, employees, agents and suppliers from claims arising directly from participation in the Competition or receipt or use of the prize, except to the extent caused by the Promoter’s negligence, unlawful conduct or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
